Travis is the cofounder and Director of Advanced Technology at Azitra Inc. His background began in molecular biology and biochemistry after receiving scientific training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Duke University, and Yale University. He is the co-founder of several startup companies, including Azitra Inc. and several biotech and healthcare startups. He’s also a partner at Bios Partners, which is biotech-focused venture capital fund with over $120M under management. Through this role, he sits on the board of several portfolio companies: 410 Medical, Azitra Inc., Immusoft Corporation (observer), and Incysus Therapeutics. Mr. Whitfill brings strong background in entrepreneurship and business and was recently acknowledged as Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2018. He’s also the Senior Analyst at Bios Research, which brings experience in public markets, and drug development to support venture capital investments. He also is an Associate Research Scientist in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at Yale University and sits on the board of several nonprofit research organizations. Mr. Whitfill has led numerous grant-funded projects, holds various patents, and has co-authored over three dozen publications. Mr. Whitfill received degrees from Yale University (MPH) and Dallas Baptist University (BS) and is working on a PhD from University College London.
